Announcement of Symposium
“Informational Health from Japan to the World
~Driving toward Digital Health through International Collaboration~”

■Overview

Several years have passed since the inception of the concept of “informational health,” which seeks to help everyone achieve their desired information diet by making them more aware of the tools to balance it. However, the health of the information space has not improved, but rather has worsened along with the progression of the “attention economy.” In addition, problems surrounding the information space, for example the proliferation of disinformation and misinformation relating to wars and conflicts, are no longer bound by national borders, highlighting the dire need to institute an international framework.

In this symposium, we will refer to discussions being held in other countries regarding a healthy information space, diving deeper into the concept itself as well as the information space that Japan and the rest of the world should aim for in the future. In the latter half of the symposium, we plan to conclude a basic academic cooperation agreement on informational health in order to address this issue within an international framework. This symposium will be an opportunity to collaborate with institutions and researchers in other countries, and it will advocate for a better understanding and engagement with informational health internationally
