Historical, Philosophical, and Economic Studies of Time
In the attention economy that competes for people’s disposable time, the importance of time performance (typa) is increasing, and the sense of “time” and the economic value associated with it are undergoing a major transformation. This subunit examines how the sense and value of “time” have changed historically using classical literature and other materials.
As the theory of time is also an important subject in philosophy, we would like to examine the impact of a transformed sense of time on human existence and dignity. Based on these historical and philosophical considerations, ultimately we would like to examine the economic value of time in the attention economy from an economic standpoint and connect it to recommendations for competitive and industrial policies and legal systems.
